More than 50-thousand people registered to vote in Georgia may not be able to complete their ballot in the November presidential election. It seems that these individuals got flagged due to a computer glitch regarding identification. In fact, about 45-hundred of those flagged people are having their US-citizenships questioned and must prove their eligibility to vote. Experts state that voting computer systems will usually automatically cut the misidentifications.
A new record in the world of gasoline prices has been set. Over the past 2-weeks, gas prices have plummeted 53-cents on average down to 2-78. The price decrease is linked to lowered crude oil prices and demand, and the drop is the largest in the past 60-years.
A small Arkansas college received a campus-wide lockdown after a shooting on Sunday. The police are seeking 3 possible suspects and took another into custody for the University of Central Arkansas shooting that killed 2-people.
An HIV-scare in a St.Louis high school got started after an infected person told health officials that about 50-students might have been exposed to the virus. There is no word on who may have caused the exposure or if any teens have been infected… However, Normandy High School administrators are allowing for students to be tested at school. Some of the 13-hundred students have transferred to other local high schools and the administration is working to further educate the students about HIV and AIDS.
